Children's Play Therapy Groups- Our play therapy groups are facilitated by a licensed masters level social worker. Play Therapy groups encourage children impacted by domestic violence to express their thoughts and emotions in positive ways. There is no fee for these groups. For more information call 682-8979.
Parenting Classes- Parenting classes are facilitated by the Children's Advocate on either an individual basis or group basis with parents. The parenting classes utilize the STEP parenting program and last 10 weeks. There is a $25 enrollment fee, and a $5 fee per session. For more information call 682-1752.
Domestic Violence Prevention Program- The AAFV Domestic Violence Prevention Program primarily serves court ordered individuals, but is also available to individuals in the community. The AAFV DVPP is a 26-week intervention program, utilizing the Duluth Model developed by Ellen Pence and Michael Paymar. There is a $25 initial enrollment fee, and $15 fee per session.
